I started R7 Creative because God instructed me to. In the summer of 2018, I asked the Lord for direction. He answered almost right away: start a media and marketing company for kingdom business owners, entrepreneurs, churches and ministries.
An interesting transition
I was sitting outside our house in Tampa, Florida in August.
I had resigned my church after 10 years as its pastor. I hadn’t resigned the ministry.
So there we were in Tampa, following the call of God.
I asked Him for clarity, so I could obey Him and fulfill His will for me and my family.
R7 Creative is part of that.
What did God tell me to build?
He told me to start a media and marketing company for four kinds of people:
- Kingdom business owners
- Kingdom entrepreneurs
- Churches
- Ministries
All four care about the same thing: getting Jesus His Great Commission results. Souls won. Disciples made. The power of God shown.
What is R7’s mission?
The premise was simple. Make the vision of our client’s mission so plain that the people who see it run with it.
That’s the job. It shows up in a few ways:

- Content
- Copywriting
- Branding
- Ads
Don’t delay
I acted on that word right away.
I started posting the services I knew I could offer. I picked up a couple of jobs.
It was a small start. It was obedience.
Filling in the gaps
After a short time, I saw a gap. What God asked me to build was bigger than what I could do.
So I prayed again. This time I asked God to teach me how to sell. That prayer changed everything for my family and for this business. I’ll tell that part of the story in another post.
